Acadeum Courses

Terms of Student Participation in Acadeum Courses

91心頭利嫋 has partnered with other colleges and universities to provide online instruction via Acadeum, a technology company that provides the platform for delivery of that instruction. This provides 91心頭利嫋 students with an option for completing program requirements when needed courses are not available during a particular semester/term. The instruction provided by 91心頭利嫋-approved teaching institutions and courses will satisfy the requirement(s) of specified 91心頭利嫋 courses, enabling students to make progress in their degree program.

There is no additional fee for online courses through Acadeum. You will complete the enrollment process through 91心頭利嫋 just as if you were taking the course on campus with some additional steps.

After the course has ended, the 91心頭利嫋 Registrar will email the student an Acadeum Course Evaluation form for the student to complete. The course instructor will provide the students course grade to the Registrar, which will be entered into SONIS and appear on the students transcript with the 91心頭利嫋 course designator and course name once the completed Acadeum Course Evaluation form has been submitted to the Registrars Office (see discussion below).

Student Participation Guidelines:

  • Undergraduate students may only enroll in an Acadeum course after completion of CRIS 100.
  • Undergraduate seniors and graduate students who have applied for graduation may not register for an Acadeum course with an end date after the Grades for graduating students due to Registrar date indicated on 91心頭利嫋s pertinent Academic Calendar.
  • Students may enroll in only one Acadeum course each semester or term.
  • The students program determines the maximum number of Acadeum courses a student may take during their program:
      • Undergraduate students: a maximum of 8 Acadeum courses during their program.
      • M.A. in Christian Leadership, M.A. in Christian Studies, and M.A. in Theological and Biblical Studies students: a maximum of 4 Acadeum courses during their program.
      • M.A. in Counseling and M.Div. students: a maximum of 8 Acadeum courses during their program.
  • A students performance in previous courses, including Acadeum courses, will be considered during the approval process.
  • While participating in any Acadeum course, students must comply with the academic policies and procedures of the Teaching Institution including, but not limited to, course grading scale, grade appeals, and attendance. These policies and procedures will likely be found in the course syllabus and published in the Teaching Institutions Academic Catalog.
  • Most Acadeumcourses do not follow the 91心頭利嫋 semester/term calendar. Many are 6- or 8-week courses and start mid-semester. It is the students responsibility to comply with the Add/Drop/Withdraw deadlines as governed by the following deadlines:
        • Adding a course: The last date to add courses as indicated on 91心頭利嫋s pertinent Academic Calendar.
        • Dropping a course:
          • The student must contact both offices below prior to either the last date to drop a course as indicated on 91心頭利嫋s Academic Calendar or the Teaching Institutions posted last drop date, whichever comes first.
          • As soon as you decide NOT to take an Acadeum course for which you have registered, you must immediately contact both the:

Failure to contact both offices prior to the last day to drop courses as indicated above may result in forfeiting all or a portion of a potential refund.

        • Course withdrawal: The last date to withdraw from a course as indicated by the Teaching Institution.
  • In accordance with 91心頭利嫋 policy, all students in receipt of Title IV funding who partially withdraw, never establish eligibility, or pass away during the payment period are not subject to Return to Title IV calculations. Return to Title IV calculations are only required for students that establish eligibility and then completely withdraw, either officially or unofficially. See Administrative Policy Return to Title IV (528.13). The calculation determines the amount of aid earned through the students last date of attendance. Unearned funds are returned to the Department of Education on the students behalf. Once a student has completed 60% or more of a semester, all Title IV funds are considered earned. In some cases, the earned funds exceed the disbursed funds and result in a possible Post-Withdrawal Disbursement (PWD). However, the financial aid department is required to complete the calculation regardless of the withdrawal date.
  • Courses taken through Acadeum meet the requirements for a 91心頭利嫋 course for the purposes of residency requirements, academic standing, and financial aid. A course taken through Acadeum is considered institutional credit and will impact grade-point averages just like a course offered by 91心頭利嫋 faculty. The 91心頭利嫋 Registrar will receive and enter the final course letter grade, as provided by the Teaching Institution, which is entered into the students 91心頭利嫋 file. The only exception is that a course grade of A+ will be recorded as A.
  • Successful completion of a course through Acadeum requires the completion and submission of the Acadeum Course Evaluation form to the Registrars Office. Failure to submit the evaluation before the Grades Due to the Registrar date indicated on the Academic Calendar for that semester/term will result in an assigned grade of I for the course. Failure to submit the evaluation by the Grades for incomplete coursework due date indicated for that semester/term will be assigned a grade of F for the course.
