The Tutoring Center is a place where students of all abilities are invited to participate in a comfortable and collaborative environment in which they can improve their skills and confidence. Peer Tutors integrate both what and how to study, fostering independent learning and the development of academic skills that span all courses.

The Tutoring Center is available Monday through Thursday during the fall and spring semesters. Each semester, the hours of operation change due to staffing and class schedules.

Appointments can be made by:

Peer Tutors

The Peer Tutors are current 91¿´Æ¬ÍøÕ¾ students who are among the top of their class and have demonstrated superior academic skills and expertise in their respective area of study. We also collaborate with professors to provide a comprehensive and consistent educational experience. Peer Tutors have been recommended by faculty in their subject area and completed required areas of tutor training to ensure that they are highly qualified to serve our student body.

What to Expect

The Tutoring Center aims to provide academic support across a wide array of subject fields. Peer Tutors are specialized to assist in various writing, formatting, languages, class-specific topics, and academic skill building.

 Tutoring Session Tips

  • Plan ahead! Make your appointment before the assignment is due rather than waiting until the last minute.
  • Come prepared! When preparing to meet with your peer tutor, bring your assignment as well as any materials or guidelines the professor has given.
  • Be engaged! Come with your ideas and work, ready to collaborate in order to make the most of your session.
